Andy Golledge is a livewire and a gentle soul, trapped in a 70s tuna fisherman’s body. With the songwriting chops of Bruce Springsteen and the onstage charisma and energy of Freddie Mercury. This Tamworth boy’s tracks span from foot stompin’ party starters to the heartachingly fragile; they’re painfully honest, instantly relatable, and catchy as all hell. Andy was the inaugural winner of the Americana Music Prize, and caused quite a stir ripping it up with his band at Americanafest in Nashville.
While most of Sydney’s live music lovers have seen Andy strip to his undies on stage, ended up topless themselves at a show or shed a tear in the crowd (or all three), the release of recorded material has been .. to put it politely … eagerly as f****** anticipated.
At last – Andy Golledge’s debut EP ‘Namoi’, is now available, released through IOhYou records.
